UWI- SCHSBM creates a pathway for aspiring pilots and other aviation professionals
The UWI Sagicor Cavehill School of Business and Management (SCHSBM) announces the launch of its Bachelors of Business Administration in Aviation Management with a pilot licence. The programme is being developed in partnership with the Barbados Aircraft and Aviation Services Company (BAASEC) and CAE Inc which is one of the world’s leading providers of airline flight training services. Students will have the benefit of undergoing ground school and studying for an academic degree while undertaking Flight training at the CAE headquarters in Pheonix Arizona.
The Bachelor of Business Administration in Aviation Management with a Pilot License aims to prepare students to lead and succeed in amidst the dynamic aviation industry which the Caribbean region depends so heavily upon. Students will gain comprehsive insight into how airlines and airports operate, thus preparing them for management roles in the aviation industry while examining various components of aviation management including airport operations and management, flight operation management, air traffic management, aviation safety and security, global airline management, and aviation law.
